HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER OF BWPL?
Thank you for your interest in the Black Women in Pre-Law Society! Membership for the Black Women in Pre Law Society, Howard Chapter is available to any enrolled woman-identifying undergraduate student of Howard University.
TO OBTAIN MEMBERSHIP YOU MUST:
1. Be in good academic standing with Howard University
2A. If this is your first year of membership in BWPL, complete the New Member Application.
2B. If you are a continuing member of BWPL, complete the Continuing Member Application.
3. Submit $25 dues* ($41 if you would like a BWPL t-shirt).

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Active members of the organization are required to:
1. Have fully completed and submitted the respective Membership Application (New or Continuing) which includes paying dues.
2. Attend monthly general body meetings and a minimum of 2 activities or events per semester.
3. Contribute ideas and suggestions regarding the Black Women in Pre Law Society, Howard Chapter affairs.

*Membership in the organization shall not be denied to any person because of their race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion or religious creed, disability or handicap, sex or gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, family/parental status, or political beliefs.

01. How often do BWPL membership applications open?
BWPL membership applications open twice per academic year! Once in the Fall and once during the Spring (open now)!
We understand how important networking is for career and personal development. BWPL is always working to provide opportunities for our members. We have created a mentorship placement program which allows members to network and be guided by legal professionals and Howard Alumna. Fill out the mentorship inquiry form to get started!
